Throsp, Corydon
Corydon Throsp is a minor character in Gravity's Rainbow who was responsible for the erection of the maisonette where Teddy Bloat and Pirate Prentice live.
Weisenburger sources the etymology to André Gide, Corydon, (1924), a text arguing that homosexuality is a sign of an advanced civilisation, but also to the work of Theocritus whose central character bears the same name.1
